New VC to take part in Panel Discussion at BioTrinity
2008
Orion Healthcare Equity Partners is an
exciting new international healtchare venture capital firm started
by experienced investors, some with links to the Oxford
BioCluster. Zina Affas will represent Orion on the VC Panel
Discussion scheduled to take place on the morning of April 16th at
BioTrinity in Oxford. Zina was previously Life Sciences Partner at
Atlas Venture.
Other key staff at Orion include Mark Carthy was key in
Massachusetts-based Oxford Bioscience Parner's financing of
Oxford-based PowderMed, and was a Non-Executive Director until its
acquisition by Pfizer in October 2006 for approximately £218m.
In other additions to the programme David Phillips, SVP
at BioFocus DPI will be giving a keynotes on
"Building a leading European Biotechnology Company", including
details of the strategy behind BioFocus's ADR listing and AIM
de-listing undertaken earlier this year.
